Back in January John and I were so blessed to have a booth at Columbus Bride: The Show 2010, held at Veterans Memorial in Columbus. This event was huge!!! Hundreds of wedding vendors, 2 full days, fashion shows, free cake, and around 4,000 attendees (and about 2,000 were actually brides)!!! This was a great opportunity to share our work with the Columbus, OH area, and we loved the experience. Here’s a little look into our bridal show journey:) Enjoy!
John did an incredible job designing, and building our 10′x7′ booth (in our living room btw). I worked on choosing and printing our display images and printing/designing our flush mount sample album. But… John was the head architect and brains behind building our display, and I was SO HAPPY with how it turned out. John is, well… kind of amazing!!!;)
The Process:
John built 4 legit walls… framed, covered with drywall, spackled (multiple times), painted, and attached together to stand strong!:) I helped John carry our 7′ walls from the garage to our house and back again multiple times. Each time worrying that I would trip and send a huge sheet of drywall through our tv!

John has been growing his hair out for the past several months, but it started driving him crazy. So, he wanted to be able to style it…. a little better than…
This:

Yeah, the above is just not ok. So, we asked our friend Chere to help us out.
Here is the result:

Awesome right!? Thank you so much Chere!!! We both LOVE the cut!
For some reason this Valentines Day was extra sweet. I can’t pinpoint what it was exactly, but I just seemed perfect. We are always amazed by how much God has blessed our life together, and I pray that we never forget that He is our source of strength. Here’s some fun pics from our weekend.
My present from John:)

John has known this bride since they were both little ones, and I met her when she joined my 4th grade class. We then graduated with each other, and all went on to be students at OSU!:) Katie & Eric, thank you guys for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!

We went to high school with Chris and Stephanie, and they have an incredibly sweet love story! We were honored that they chose us to document their day.

April & Al found us at a bridal show last year, and we were thrilled when they told us all of their AMAZING photo ideas. They are both very connected to OSU, so they wanted to represent that in their images. Their wedding ceremony was held outdoors at the amphitheater beside Mirror Lake, what a beautiful location! After the ceremony we went on a little adventure with them and their bridal party to various locations on campus. We traveled from Mirror Lake, to the stadium, and ended at the newly renovated library, ah… it is so lovely! We had a great time shooting, and loved all of the locations that April and Al had chosen.
Thank you guys again for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!

This was a very sweet moment at the reception. The dance was dedicated, by the bride and groom, to their parents.

Nikki and Zak had such a beautiful, unique wedding! The ceremony and reception were held at the Landoll’s Mohican Castle in Loudonville, Ohio. Yes… there is a castle in Ohio, awesome right!? Anyway, this wedding was so easy to shoot because:
1. This couple is super chill, and very sweet:)
2. The location was just gorgeous! Every time we turned around we saw another great backdrop. It was wonderful!
Thank you both for choosing us to shoot your beautiful wedding!:)

The live band was great! They pulled guests up on stage the whole night. So fun!:)
